TENNIS – HOW IT KEEPS US FIT AND HEALTHY

In today’s society, many of us are finding that our health and fitness is not our top priority; it can be for a number of reasons including having no time to get to the gym or even work-out at home. It is something that is really coming to be in everyone’s mind though, our health is important to us and something that we should all take into perspective knowing that we need to keep ourselves fit and healthy to keep on going.

There are many activities out there that will help us get fit; many of us do not get thirty minutes to go to the tennis court and they don’t really get the time to workout at the gym either. They can seem to fit only a few minutes of workout at their home but even then it is not considered to be enough. We should try to work out by completing at least one sport to help keep us fit. Many men choose to play five aside football, some like to play basketball and other are playing tennis.

With tennis being one of the sports that are rising then we are turning to that to be the number one sport we choose; there are many benefits and advantages in playing tennis. One of which will help get us more fit and healthy because it is something that we all need at one point or another; many people are facing a lot of weight problems but getting into tennis could be something you are rewarded.

When we find we are close to retiring or are retired then we can get a little more bored and eat more leading to us getting more health problems that is why choosing a sport to keep us fit and healthy is always a good idea.

KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR HEALTH
What you should take in consideration:

• Amount of food you eat and the calories for your daily intake.

• Drinking too much – knowing to take in only a few units of alcohol can help your health greatly.

• If you don’t walk for around twenty minutes a day, especially if you are homebound or retired then try to even walk to your local convenience store or even get a treadmill.

• Keeping an eye on your weight should be your top priority so you know if you are dangerously putting on too much weight and knowing how to reduce that pressure on your heart also.

• You will have some health problems associated with being unhealthy.

WHY SHOULD WE KEEP HEALTHY
Taking in a sport is always good to do; it can help you get into better shape as well as taking the strain off your heart as you could get many health problems. The most important things you will need when you begin to play tennis will be to be:

• Balance and eye co-ordination

• Stamina

• Muscle strength

• Flexibility
